Designed with the spirit of a hackathon, curation of an accelerator, and structure of a cohort-based course, Uniswap Hooks Incubator guides devs through every step of launching a hook, no matter how complex.
DeFi has become increasingly customizable & composable, accelerating the transition from centralized to decentralized exchanges. Uniswap v4 introduces new architectural upgrades that significantly reduce the cost of pool creation & transactions making it cheaper for developers to innovate and users to interact with the protocol.
The flexibility & customization of hooks brings fast, expressive AMM innovation within one powerful ecosystem. There's never been a better opportunity for devs to create assets that improve LP profitability or create better trade prices for users. If you're building a DeFi protocol that does lending, perks, or leverage of any sort, hooks can fit right into your product strategy. Let the innovation begin.

Background
During the final 2 weeks of the Uniswap Hook Incubator, developers build a 'capstone hook' using the skills gained in the first 6 weeks. This culminates in a live Demo Day, where top teams present to investors, researchers, and builders.
In the first cohort, 88 developers created 55 hooks. Two demo days was a success, with 12 teams winning $30,000+ in prizes. Several projects later secured grant and VC funding.
Incentives
While most devs in the program might be intrinsically motivated to practice what they’ve learned with a concrete project, we can’t help but highlight the benefits of joining the hookathon.
